This photo was taken as a publicity-picture for Facing The Music when I first began to really struggle with how I was being treated as a “dis-abled” person many years ago. As you can see from my post “Modern, tolerant Britain? 8 acts of disability-discrimination against ONE person” , the list definitely isn’t pleasant! I look happy in the picture don’t I? Hmmmm…….
I remember at the time how isolated and alone I was feeling. Nobody else seemed to be suffering the same disability-related bollocks that I was expected to put up with – or if they were they were quite happy to do/ say nothing about it.
However, today I’ve been able to post on 2 disability-related websites so hopefully people will hear about this and get in touch with their own experiences. Then I can force the powers-that-be to admit that we have a disability-rights problem – that needs physical action!
Is anyone out there? I can not do this on my own!
